Workshops are generally 10-15 hours per weekend divided into 2-3 hour sessions. Each session is an intensive classes on a specific yoga topic.

Workshops are based on $18 US per hour or currency equivalent.

A 15% discount is usually offered to early registration.

As a traveling teacher Wayne requires a guaranteed minimum approximately $1800 US or currency equivalent after expenses and any profit over that is split 70% for Wayne and 30% for the host.

Detailing Ashtanga Yoga 

Intro to Ashtanga Yoga 

Ashtanga Yoga taught in the tradition of the awesome Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This workshop presents the teachings in a clear and concise philosophical theoretical delineation of the eight limbed path know as Ashtanga yoga and includes the practical application of Tristhana; Vinyasa, Dristhi and Bandha.

Surya Namaskar A + B

It all begins with Surya Namaskar / Sun Salutation. The sun brings light and heat and that is what the Sun Salutes do to your body, make them hot and light. Surya Namaskar A 9 vinyasa's and B 17 vinyasa's will be detailed with technical alignment and taught for all levels.

Opening Postures

Padangusthasana, Padahastasana, Trikonasana A + B, Parsvakonasana A + B, Prasarita Padottonasana A, B, C, D, Parsvatonasana these poses will be detailed with technical alignment and taught for all levels.

Primary Series Begins 

Primary series begins with Utitha Hasta Padangusthasana, Ardha Baddha Padmottanasa, Utkatasana, Virabhadrasana 1 + 2 these poses will be detailed with technical alignment and taught for all levels.

Seated Poses Part 1 with Jump forward and Jump Back

Primary series is predominantly seated poses and these poses are linked with the fun and challenging seated vinyasa know as the pick up jump back and the jump thru to sitting. Flexibility, core and upper body strength are required for these movements. This vinyasa and the first 5 seated poses are taught in this workshop. Dandasana, Paschimattonasana A, B, C and Purvottanasa will be detailed with a lot of technique and taught for all levels.

Seated Poses Part 2 

Continuing on with Primary series seated poses Ardha Baddha Padma Paschimattanasa, Tiriang Mukha Ekapada Paschimattonasa, JanuSirsasana A, B, C and Marichyasana A, B, C, D  will be detailed with technique and taught for all levels.

Seated Poses Part 3  

Continuing on with Primary series seated poses With our physical core established in Marichyasana D we are now ready for real challenges to our core and extremities with Navasana, Bhujapidasana, Kurmasana + Supta Kurmasana, Garbha Pindasana will be detailed with technique and taught for all levels.

Seated Poses Part 4 

Continuing on with Primary series seated poses BaddhaKonasana, Upavishta Konasana, Supta Konasana, Supta Padangushtasana, Ubhaya Padangushtasana, Urdhva Mukha Paschimattanasana will be detailed with a lot of technique and taught for all levels.

Setu Bandhasana, Urdhva Dhanurasana and Paschimattanasana

Final pose of Primary series, Setu Bandhasa and finishing backbends Urdhva Dhanurasana will be detailed with a lot of technique and taught for all levels.

Finishing postures

Maybe the point of all the other poses and movement is these finishing poses. Known as the queen and king of poses Sarvangasana and Sirsasana offer tremendous physical and mental beneifits which lead perfectly for Padmasana the best seated posture for pranayama and meditation. Sarvangasana, Halasana, Karnapidasana, Urdhva Padmasana, Pindasana, Matsyasana, Uttana Padasana, Sirsasana, Baddha Padmasana, Yoga Mudrasana Padmasana, Uth Pluthi will be detailed with technique and taught for all levels.

Guided Hatha Vinyasa Practice

Intro Course to Hatha Vinyasa Yoga 

This course is a series of workshops that focus on the teaching of master Swami Bua and his unique presentation of classical Hatha Yoga. Ha - Moon and Tha - Sun With the intention to opposites Hatha yoga is known as physical yoga that brings balance and harmony to body and mind.

Hatha Yoga Guided Vinyasa Level 1/2

Level 1 / 2  is a guided flow class and is appropriate for beginner or intermediate yoga students.  Technique and details are offered without compromising the flow of the practice. Includes guided relaxation and meditation

Is a guided flow class and is appropriate for intermediate and advanced yoga students. Technique and details are offered without compromising the flow of the practice. Includes guided relaxation and meditation.

Specific Topics

Hip Openers

Locked, blocked and stuck not after this class your hips will never be the same. Opening the hips enables leg rotation which takes strain off the knee and ankle and allows hip flexion for deep forward bending.

Back Bends

They say back bending is reflective of our past. Back bends put a lot of pressure on the lungs and heart making it hard to breath and relax. This class will help clear your mind, open your heart center and take you thru the fear of going deep in back bends.

Twists

Twisting from the core, tips and tail. Not only good for lower back and abdomen, twist require a strong base and limber limbs.

Inversions​

the power of inversions lies with the increased blood flow to the brain and the 'drainage' of blood to the lower extremities. This class will explore the 4 main inversions, their foundations and variations. Headstand, Shoulder stand, Forearm stand and Handstand. All levels

Handstands

What a feeling to balance on your hands, maybe thats why people become obsessed with this posture. To practice and master this simple yet challenging pose brings strength, confidence and joy. All levels

Baddhakonasana and Pranayama

Bound angle and commonly called Butterfly is a simple yet extremely challenging pose. Babies and children do it with ease but as an adult if not naturally open it takes a lot of time, assistance and possibly props to master this pose. This class will be divided in half using sound / Ujayai breathing to play with variations of Baddhakonasana to prepare for a 45 min seated pranayama session. Intermediate + Advanced students.

Yin Yoga and Stillness

Yin yoga has commonly become known as gentle yoga. Yin is from Chinese taoism and refers to the passive female principle of the universe, characterized as sustaining and associated with earth, dark, and cold this class will focus on long slow and deep posture as a preperation for seated stillness, meditation.

Adjustments and Assisting

At certain stages in our yoga path of practice it is almost necessary and mostly a pleasure to receive hands on adjustment or assistance. I say mostly because sometimes it does not feel good or right when receiving and adjustment. This class focuses on when and how to give great pleasurable adjustment.
